The Creation and the Capture of Knowledge for Quality and Safety Development Division Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand

Abstract


The purpose of this study is creating and capturing knowledge of Quality and Safety Development Division , Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) that consisted of the process of creating eight knowledge , the process of capturing knowledge by EGAT Knowledge Capture program and studied the opinion of Quality and Safety Development Division ’s employees for knowledge capturing model via EGAT intranet network. The studied samples were three top managements and twenty-one involving KM activities employees selected by purposive sampling from one hundred and fifteen employees. The research tools consisted of KM action plan : year 2009 , EGAT Knowledge Capture program and the questionnaire. Data was analyzed by mean and standard deviation. The result of research was shown that : Eight created knowledge capturing by EGAT Knowledge Capture program complied with Knowledge Spiral or SECI model of Nonaka and Takeuchi (1995) in part of S(Socialization) E(Externalization) C(Combination) and most of the studied samples were male , age between 40-50 , education over bachelor's degree , job position level between 8-9 and job experience more than 25 years had expressed an optimistic point of view towards knowledge capturing model via EGAT intranet network and agreed that this could be classified in the level reaching satisfaction as previously assumed.
