Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) develop and evaluate the appropriateness of the training course on curriculum quality management model using PAOR Cycle and 2) develop and evaluate the efficiency of the training course on curriculum quality management model using PAOR Cycle. The target group included educational institutes under Office of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC). The research has been designed as the research and development with both qualitative and quantitative data. The results can be concluded as follows. 1) The result on the appropriateness of the developed training course showed that the training course on curriculum quality management model using PAOR Cycle consisted of 3 main phases, i.e. phase 1: the curriculum planning, phase 2: the implementation, and phase 3 consisted of 4 sub-stages, i.e. planning, action, observing, and reflection. The developed model was evaluated by 9 specialists showing very high appropriateness following the research hypothesis and 2) The developed model was evaluated by CIPP Model showing that the context evaluation revealed very high appropriateness of the 12 training topics. The input evaluation also reported very high appropriateness and congruence between the course components and the behavioral objectives. The process evaluation showed the efficiency on the theoretical score at 84.53/83.76 and that of the practical part at 82.90% higher than the set criteria. Moreover, the trainees reported very high satisfaction on the whole training program. The product evaluation showed that: 1) the management team was satisfied with the trained curriculum management committee at high level. 2) The management team reported high satisfaction on the teaching management conducted by the trained teachers. 3) The follow-up studies showed high satisfaction of learners toward the trained teachers. The results mentioned above showed that the training course on curriculum quality management model using PAOR Cycle gained high efficiency following the research criteria.
