Desirabled Competencies of Training Officers in Automotive Industries\, using Delphi Technique

Abstract


This study aimed to study the desired competencies of training officers in automobile industry by using Delphi Technique. Our samples included 30 expert trainers in automobile industry to complete questionnaire of Delphi Technique. The result of the desired competencies of training officers in automobile industry comprise of 3 areas. 1) It has been found that the desired competencies for the area pre-training are: (1) In the aspect of training needs, the most desired competencies is knowledge about surveying the trainees needs so they can prepare a training course that best suite such needs. (Median=4.70) (2) Creating the training course; in this aspect, the most desired competencies is knowledge for setting the objective of the training course. (Median=4.83) (3) Preparing of the training, in this aspect, the most desired competencies is the ability to prepare the training facility. (Median=4.35) (4) Creating document for the training, in this aspect, the most desired competencies is the knowledge for preparing relevant content to the training’s objectives. (Median=4.75) 2) Moreover it has been found that the desired competencies for the area of during the training are: (1) Managing the training, in this aspect, the most desired competencies is the ability to manage the training, in line with the specified objectives. (Median=4.50) (2) Ability as a speaker, in this aspect, the most desired competencies is the ability to manage time of the training. (Median=4.64) 3) Finally the desired competencies on the area of after the training is evaluating and following up after the training, In this aspect, the most desired competencies is (1) Knowledge for setting evaluating objective. (Median=4.64)
