The Model for Sustainable Business Development of Layer Farm in Thailand

Abstract


This research aims to 1) study the required components for developing of business management for layer farm 2) to develop a model of developing of business management for layer farm and 3) to evaluate the model of developing of business management for layer farm. The population group comprised of 1807 farm managers who are registered with the Department of Livestock development. The size of sample group consisted of 327 famers. The research tools were interviews and questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were mean and standard deviation. Also, multiple Regression analysis was employed for analyzing correlation of factors affecting achievement of developing business management for layer farm. The findings indicated that the model of developing of business management for layer farm as follows: 1) The main factors of management consisted of following sub factors: (1) goal setting (2) customer feedback (3) team work (4) evaluation and (5) responsibility. 2) The main factors of human resource consisted of following sub factors: (1) succession planning (2) managing pay (3) benefit and (4) managing safety in workplace. 3) The main factors of marketing consisted of following sub factors: (1) quality and safety (2) Cleanliness and hygiene (3) demand and (4) varieties. And, 4) the main factors of farm management consisted of the following sub factors: (1) which are veterinarian and animal husbandry work in farm (2) product processing and (3) manufacturing waste management. The evaluation results from the experts revealed that Model of development for improving the sustainable layer farming business in Thailand is satisfactory, highest level of experts’ opinion at every point (88.90%) and practicable (95%).
