A Model of Private Vocational Education Administration for ASEAN Community

Abstract


The purposes of this research were to determine; the components of private vocational education administration for ASEAN community, and the model of private vocational education administration for ASEAN community. The sample consisted of 197 private vocational colleges. The respondents were administrator, head of academic affairs, and teachers, of private vocational college totally of 591 respondents. The research instrument were 1) semi-structured interview, 2) opinionnaire, 3) questionnaire for checking and confirming of private vocational education administration for ASEAN community. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, exploratory factor analysis, path analysis and content analysis. The research findings revealed that: 1) The components of private vocational education administration of ASEAN community composed of 5 components; (1) educational administration development, (2) curriculum development and management, (3) learning organization, (4) participate enhancing and (5) student graduation relevant to market’s needed. 2) The model of private vocational education administration for ASEAN community was well fitted with the empirical data as follow; educational administration development, curriculum development and management, learning organization, participate enhancing had direct effected to student graduation relevant to market’s need. In addition, educational administration development had indirect effected to student graduation relevant to market’s need through curriculum development and management, learning organization and participate enhancing. 3) The model of private vocational education administration for ASEAN community was suitable for college context, possibility for implementation, accuracy of conceptual frameworks and useful for college development.
