Sheridan Smith took to Instagram on Monday to thank fans for their 'lovely' messages after the birth of her baby boy.

The actress, 38, 에그벳카지노 and her fiancé Jamie Horn announced their happy news on social media on Saturday, with Sheridan writing she was 'overwhelmed with love.' 

She then wrote: 'I'd just like to say thank you so much!  We have been so touched by all your lovely messages about the birth of our son.

Sheridan shared a first glimpse of her son's tiny hand over the weekend as she told fans: 'Our little man has arrived! We are both completely overwhelmed with love.'

Just days earlier Sheridan was praised by fans for her 'emotional' portrayal of an expectant mother living in lockdown during an episode of ITV's Isolation Stories.

The former Gavin and Stacey star sang to her bare baby bump in the special as she played mother-to-be Mel, who was faced with the prospect of giving birth alone during lockdown.

Sheridan added that she immediately said yes to the project after an initial approach from Oscar nominated writer and producer Jeff Pope.

She said: 'I am heavily pregnant and have been isolating at home so I jumped at the chance to make a drama about the massive drama going on all around us right now.

'I think it's really important to try and reflect what's happening to us whilst it is still.'

Six weeks of government mandated lockdown also made Sheridan acutely aware of her good fortune in having Jamie compared to her character Mel.

'I'm lucky I have the baby coming soon so it's been a focus for me,' she said. 'I think it would be hard for people like the character I play in the drama, as she is on her own.

Sheridan first confirmed that she and Jamie were expecting in November, when she shared a snap of a baby blanket embroidered with the name: 'Baby Smith-Horn.'   

A month earlier she also took to Twitter where she posted about preparing for her 'most important role to date'.

She wrote: 'Super excited for 2020, gonna finally get to work with a producer I admire hugely! But first, my most important role to date..' along with emojis of a pregnant woman and a woman cradling a newborn baby. 

Speculation first began at the Floating Festivals event in October, where she was said to have announced she had a 'baby on board.'

As reported by The Mirror, Sheridan announced: 'I've got a baby on board', before joking about 'this morning sickness lark'.

She added: 'I've got buckets in each wing and trainers so I can run. I'm very out of breath. I've got all these new symptoms, so sorry!' 

Sheridan sent fans into a frenzy by revealing she was suffering from 'morning sickness' on a social media post as she prepared to embark on a musical theatre cruise, prompting a rush of fan congratulations.
