Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: 1) develop and evaluate the appropriateness of the training program on quality assurance and self-directed teaching development through information technology and 2) develop and evaluate the efficiency of the training program on quality assurance and self-directed teaching development through information technology. The target group for the appropriateness evaluation included 9 specialists while another research target group consisted of 20 supervisor teachers. The results can be concluded as follows: 1) The developed training program on quality assurance and self-directed teaching development through information technology was validated for the appropriateness by 9 specialists by the interview. The overall evaluation showed that the developed training course was highest appropriate which was corresponding to the research hypothesis. 2) The developed training course was evaluated for its efficiency and quality through CIPP Model with the following results. 2.1) The context evaluation. The appropriateness of the training program was highest. The congruency evaluation between the topic of the training course and training program was congruence in every aspect. 2.2) The input evaluation. The congruency between elements of the training program with behavioral objectives showed congruence in every aspect. The training appropriateness also revealed highest appropriateness. The results of the training program try-out revealed high reliability and the achievement score of the theoretical part was at the average of 82.48/ 81.44 while that of the practical part was 87.22 Furthermore, the trainees reported satisfaction on the training course at highest level. 2.3) The process evaluation. The achievement score of the implementation on the theoretical part was at the average of 83.94/ 82.43 while that of the practical part was 85.19 higher than the set criteria. Furthermore, the trainees reported satisfaction on the training course at highest level. 2.4) The product evaluation. The follow-up study showed that the supervisor teachers who joined the developed training course showed highest appropriateness and the department heads reported highest satisfaction on the trained supervisor teachers. The efficiency evaluation result of the training course can be concluded that the corresponding to the research hypothesis.
