Students' Opinions on the Instruction of Faculty of Science, Srinakharinwirot University

Abstract


The purposes of this research were to investigate and to compare the students’ opinions towards the instruction of the Faculty of Science, Srinakharinwirot University in five aspects : curriculum, instructor,learning and teaching process, measurement and evaluation and supporting factor in overall and each aspects classified by gender, years of study, academic major and academic achievement. The sample of this research were 362 undergraduate students in Faculty of Science, Srinakharinwirot University, whom registered in academic year 2012. The instrument used in the study was a five rating scale questionnaire with 65 items and open-ended questions. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.96. Statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Scheffe’ method. The results revealed that: 1) The students’ opinions towards the instruction in the Faculty of Science, Srinakharinwirot University in overall and each aspect were at a high level. 2) There was no significant and difference between the opinions of male and female students toward the instructional in the Faculty of Science, Srinakharinwirot University in overall and each aspect. 3) There was no significant difference among the opinions of students with different years of study on instructional in the Faculty of Science, Srinakharinwirot University in overall and each aspect. 4) There were significant differences among the opinions of students studying in different major fields of study in the Faculty of Science, Srinakharinwirot University in overall and each aspect. 5) There was no significant difference among the opinions of students who had different academic achievement in overall and each aspect.
