Chalida Songpasit, Krismant Whattananarong

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to develop a learning model for art thesis of art students in the Art of Photography program and to investigate the learning outcomes by using the developed learning model. The research methodology was designed for two phases. The first phase was designed for the development of learning model which evaluated by fifteen experts. The second phase was designed for the investigation of learning achievement and satisfactions after implementing the developed learning model. The samples were undergraduate students in the Art of Photography program, Poh Chang Academy of Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin in the second semester of academic year 2012, selected by a purposive sampling method. They were 56 students studied with usual instruction as a control group and 53 students studied with the developed learning model as an experimental group. Data were analyzed by using a t-test and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) statistics. The results indicated that the “IMPACT ART MODEL” which developed by the researcher was rated by the panel of expert at the “most suitable” level both in the components of learning model and the processes of learning activities. For the learning outcomes of the experimental group found that the posttest mean score was higher than pretest mean score at the significant level of .05 and the achievement mean score of the experimental group was higher than that of control group at the significant level of .05. The students also rated their learning satisfactions at a “high” level as well.
